    Mites!!!!

Ok so I moved up to Timmins Ontario (Canada) where there is only one option for live rats. (I have been unsuccessful this far for the F/T switch.).

Can't find POV but still looking for an Ontario retailer. So mad right now. Two of my three snakes have them.

I don't think they can sell PAM in Canada, and if they can it seems to be very rare.

I think your best bet will be Nix lice products, they contain the same active ingredient as PAM.

As for what else is available, someone like Kitedemon is probably your best bet.

So upset that this pet store keep unsanitary comditions and leaves us no options. I wish I could breed my own rats but no room for that.

Check into Reptile Spray. It had worked great for me. I'm just not sure if you can get it.

I went through a nasty infestation earlier this spring. ( I brought my boa to Reptile Fest in Chicago IL for exhibition and somewhere along the weekend he got mites and I brought him home therefore spreading them to everyone! I used Provent A Mite ( pam ) worked good after two treatments. I now take a proactive approach and pre treat all their cage BEFORE they get mites! My suggestion is to treat all your snakes weather you see the mites or not. this will guarantee that you kill the infestation. Im not sure whats available in Canada though??

Thanks. I am not happy with the fact that this store is my only option for love rodents. My decision to attempt to breed them has been made. Not going to cause this is not pleasant. Unless a better place starts offering rodents. Now what am I gonna do if they refuse to switch to F/T? I may have to consider getting rid of the mites and if they don't switch over giving them to friends down south where they have options. Man I feel sick. I shouldn't have brought them up here. If I have to sell these I may get a snake that will readily take FT easily.
