Incubation causing color/pattern changes
I have done a lot of research in preparation for my first breeding season and on several occasions I came across references to color and pattern being influenced by incubation temperatures. I am curious to know more about this. I was wondering if any of you out there have experienced this first hand, and whether you could post more about it on this thread. Photos, of course, would be very helpful, as well as the temperature/problem you encountered! This might turn into an interesting thread for many people to follow if we get good feedback! Thanks :-)

Re: Incubation causing color/pattern changes
Temp and humidity issues can both cause "incubation effect". It's typically a drippy/melty pattern. Or really out there reduced patterns.

Re: Incubation causing color/pattern changes
Thank you for all this great information so far! Does anyone have pictures of the "drippy/melty" pattern caused by incubation issues? The reduced pattern is interesting, it does make for a "neat" looking snake! Has anyone documented strange spotting on the head? I ask this because one of my female breeders (currently a dinker) has completely whacky pattern and 4 very distinct spots on her head. Someone mentioned it could be caused by incubation problems, I hope it is genetic... But it did make me curious to see what patterns are out there that are known to be caused by incubation issues!
