Ball python made a hacking sound.

My baby ball python was just relaxing as usual when suddenly she got up and made two loud hacking sounds that scared the crap out of me. She then crawled over to a corner in her tank, took a dump, and went off to explore...

She has never made this hacking sound before and has shown no signs of a respiratory infection. Her temps and humidity are also fine. I thought she was going to throw up but it looks like she digested her meal. Thoroughly.

I'm just wondering if I should be worried or chill out because I'm already feeling like a paranoid parent.

Sounds like it was very most likely a fart. They do that...and it often precedes a "dump". I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

^^ What Judy said. It's super alarming the first time you hear it, but most likely just a giant snake fart.

I didn't know either! My gosh, she farts like my dad. I'm trying so hard to get a picture of Nagini yawning but she does it rarely and when she does it's so adorable I forget to get the picture.
