Why won't he eat?

Okay I put a rat in my snakes tank last night he struck at it twice and missed well then he really didn't wanna mess with it I mean he's got to be hungry I haven't fed him in like 3 weeks or so he just shed last week and the rat I gave him before was a little bigger than the one now. What do I do? Take rat out and try in a couple days?

Give it about a week before you try again so the snake has time to reduce stress levels. Make sure you feed and give water to the rat in the mean time so it doesn't die.

Okay. Thanks. Ill prob just take him back and get another one next week.
