Question Thongs vs Hemostats What do you prefer?

Just as the title says. I use hemostats myself, but the 18 inch one it just so long and clumsy. Are tweezers any better? What do most of you use???

I prefer hemostats but I'm a fan of some people using thongs. Tim uses thongs i think.

Yeah for the right person, thongs are awesome... but they can be miss-used for sure. Kinda like yoga pants.

    I use giant tweezers.

Re: Thongs vs Hemostats What do you prefer?

I use the 10" tweezers available at PETsMART. Some days I wish I had the 18" ones. I've got a spider Mojave with a wobble that comes out firing when he's hungry and sometimes he misses and gets awfully close to the hand.

I'm going to start using the long extended tweezers for when I start feeding my BP's. It'll be better then using the roach clippers, LOL! I'm kidding.

I use 16 inch Foerster forceps myself, I love them they are sadly hard to find at a reasonable price.

I use tongs. I have 12" ones that I use for everything. The only reason I prefer tongs to hemostats is that it's easier to let go of the rat when the snake grabs it.

Thongs vs Hemostats What do you prefer?

I have several different sizes of hemostats that I use for feeding, the snakes never seem to have a problem pulling the rat off of them

Thongs vs Hemostats What do you prefer?

    I use both.

Tongs for my ball pythons and small boa.

Hemostats for my big girl and her rabbits.
