    Help!

I am a fairly new owner of a ball, about 2 months, and I have done tons of research. But something is going on with my baby and I can't find topics about it anywhere. He developed reddish almost maroon patched along his back. I can only find posts about red/pink on the belly. I am quite worried and can't get in to the vet until next week

    Help!

Maybe it's me, but I'm not seeing any spot. What area is it in specifically?

I see it but am actually more concerned with the missing scales on his head? They do appear to be healing though. The top picture looks normal, the bottom one looks like a bruise perhaps?

Has he shed recently? Perhaps some color changes as he gets older? I'm still learning

He's not missing scales on his head. That's stuck shed sticking up.

I'm not sure what to tell you about the red spot. I've never seen anything like it before. Doubt it's bruising since his scales cover his skin, where bruising would occur.

Could it be a stain from prey or something in the enclosure? Does it wash off?

    Re: Help!

I sprayed him down with snake hydration spray in case he was dehydrated, and felt the spots to see if it was a burn, but it doesn't feel any warmer than the rest of him. He just ate about a week ago for the first time since I got him, and he shed about 3 weeks to a month ago

    Re: Help!

What are you using for heat sources in his enclosure? UTH, RHP, rock, or ? How are they regulated?

What are you using for substrate?

    Re: Help!

I use paper towels for substrate with sphagnum moss for humidity in the hides. For heat I have a UTH and a full spectrum bulb, as well as a thermometer on each side
