    my girl finally ate!

Sometimes I just don't understand BP's ><. For the last two months my 900g lesser has been refusing food no matter how it was given or what species it is. Her enclosure is perfect when it comes to BP specifications and I treat her like a queen yet she just hasn't wanted anything! Yesterday I offered her another rat, as usual and she just sorta slithered away and curled up in the corner. I got incredibly frustrated and just tossed the f/t rat in the enclosure and basically said "screw it, ill get it in the morning". I was astonished to find the rat gone when I checked this afternoon. Not sure what made her suddely want it as it was getting cold but she sure ate it. I just hope she keeps eating from here on out. Really hoping to get some lucys out of this girl next season!

She was just shy, ladies don't like to gorge themselves in the eyes of someone else

BPs can be super frustrating sometimes. Hang in there and hopefully she will keep eating. Good luck with getting BELs!

I have an adult Mojave that only eats if you place her rat at the entrance to her hide and leave the room for 20-30 minutes. Beats the heck out of the zombie dance!

I have a male like this. Once I put the rat in his tub right before I went to bed around midnight, and checked on him just after 7:00 the next morning to see the rat's hind legs and tail disappearing down his throat. Whatever works for you, buddy...
