Are they housed outside? What are the temps in your rat room?
If it gets too hot, rats go temporarily sterile until temps are more ideal.

Could be the females. It depends on their age. How old are the females?

We need more info in order to help you. What do you house them in and where do you keep them? What are you using as bedding, and what are you feeding them?

    Also, how old are they?

For all of the females to stop breeding instead of some stopping, I would see what environmental issues there are.

    Re: rats stopped

I would say the females are getting old. My rats are housed from 78-84°f. I get litters of 10-15 from my young females.

What do they live in, how many are in each cage, and what are you feeding them? Is the pine kiln-dried?

    Re: rats stopped

Temp and age, Thats where I would look 1st. Im producing over 1000 a month and I keep my temps sitting between 70-80 degrees, The only time I notice mating slow down or stop is really rare times it hits over 80. Also I rotate my females out around 13 months of breeding or when they have 2 litters of 5 or less in a row. Hope this helps.
