Naga only eats mice with guts out!

Sorry if this is posted on the wrong spot, I wasn't sure where else to put it!

I've noticed Naga will only eat mice if their guts are hanging out. (I just got him about a month ago, he's always been on FT mice)
Is this normal or just my little guy being silly? Whenever I've offered mice without a horrible smell and guts out, he's not at all interested and would rather just explore.
I don't mind it, I just think it's funny and was wondering if anybody else has experienced it!

Typically most balls won't eat emaciated food. Like my BP doesn't even like f/t rats if the tail is messed up, and she most defiantly will not eat anything with guys hanging out. She once ripped the stomach open on a rat and then pointedly ignored it.

Sorry if auto correct messes up my message, because I have large thumbs.

Your mice shouldn't be popping... Are you keeping them fully frozen before you thaw them to offer?

Naga only eats mice with guts out!

Are you intentionally exposing their guts because that's the only way she feeds or is this just happening?

Re: Naga only eats mice with guts out!

I have brained a f/t mouse before to get my girl to eat to no avail! She did split a mouse in half last week and then abruptly decided she was no longer hungry, pretty sure I water logged the mouse for soaking too long on accident.

I tend to soak my mice in a ziploc sealed bag so that way I don't run into that issue.

I'm using arctic mice right now. Do you put the presealed bag in the ziplock bag? Or take the little guy out of that bag and place in a ziplock bag?
