    Double Het Snow options?!

I would like to produce snow's, or some other light colored morphs. I'm just in love with albinos, snows, ghosts, and sunglows! I have a male double het snow and I am wondering what my best options are for producing some nice morphs and preferably and ultimately snows in the long run. Thanks guys!

Personally, to maximize your options, I would, at the very least, get a female snow. Prices on snows aren't too bad anymore and you should be able to get a nice female snow for around $600 or so. If you really want to produce them, that will give you your best outcomes. With your male dh, you'll produce, in theory, 25% each of snows, albino het anery, anery het albino, and normals dh snow. All in all, pretty good outcome!

If you want to take more of a risk, you could pick up a hypo het moonglow for just a little more money, or a sunglow het moonglow. With the hypo gene in there, you'll be making both snows and moonglows.

If you have the means, I'd suggest getting one of the females I mention above that ALSO has a pattern gene involved - such as motley, jungle, or arabesque. This will cost more upfront, but the babies will retain a higher value too.

This will come in handy for you.......

    Re: Double Het Snow options?!

Thank you very much. The upfront investment for a snow, or any other of the morphs you mentioned are worth the increased chance of birthing snows! Thank you for your response. I'm relatively new to boas and they just captured all of my energy! I had corns, and balls in the past, but there is just something about BCI's.

Once you've had a boa, there's no going back.....

I started out with balls too. I'm down to 2 and would really like to find a good home for them. They just don't have that "wow" factor for me like the boas do. But they'll have to go to a GOOD home - they're pretty special in their own right. But I love me some more boas!!! LoL.......

I'm down to one normal ball as well, I am in the same boat. You are very true, the WOW factor is really there with boas for me as well. I am just a hobbyist that is looking to own a pair or two and breed in the future for pleasure. I really appreciate your input, and the link to that site!
