    On edge!!

My 9month old Ball Python who is usually in her hide has had her head out of the hide the last few days and appears overly alert and on edge. She definitely appears defensive.

I am feeding her adult mice but I think she is ready for bigger meals.

    Can she be hungry??

Yup...probably just hungry. I'd either switch her to small rats or start giving multiple mice per feeding.

x3 on the hungry. My girl does the exact same thing the day before feeding day. (It's also how she lets me know when to up her feeding size.) Time to up the meal portion!

    Re: On edge!!

Mine started doing the same thing this past week! Of course I did not put two and two together to up her meal size, although I was thinking of doing just that!

x4 hungry. You'll start to recognize that "look" very well the longer you have her.
