Got my 1.5-2yr ball about three weeks to a month ago and she was going through a rough shed when I aquired her. She was super patchy and looked kind of like a mangy wet dog [sorry baby girl ] I let her get adjusted to the move the first night then the next day I helped her get rid of all her remaining shed with a light bath, just letting her let me help her out and move through my hands then a wash cloth. Well her Eyecaps stayed on, and I wasn't too worried from reading on here, and firgured they'd just make their way off. Her color is already dull again and her eye caps turned blueish, I think she's getting ready for another shed.. [She's been hiding the past two days now too, not that she's overly active.. Just more reason to make me think she's feeling pissy] She was fed only mice before, and they said she ate frozen or alive just fine.. But was looking pretty hungry when I got her. Fed her two live smalls the first feed, and then one for the second to let her know she's not going to be spoiled all the time ;p After that I started with small rats and she killed him instantly, fed her two rats now and they're about as large as she can handle. It looks like she's put on about 2 inches and her head looks wider. Because of her age, is it just normal for growth spurts around this time and more frequent sheds? Was thinking about letting her fast this week just incase... Read on here it's easier for their shed?? Like I said she's been really private.. but I think she's a glutton and would eat either way if I offered.

To feed or not to feed... That is the question.

p.s. Installed her UTH about a week and half ago and she loves it! Burrowed instantly when I put her back in once the temps set in [4-6 hours out of cage time to heat] Nothing to do with post, just reassuring that she's being taken care of
