    First LOCK of the Year!!

Hey ya'll, I'm pretty excited because I have had an issue with my males this year because they won't lock with anything. So i just got a Chocolate Pastel Male a couple weeks ago and let him get settled and and q/T. I just put him in with my breeder female and witnessed the first lock
I will try to get pics to post but I didn't want to interrupt them this early on

    First LOCK of the Year!!

No offense but a couple of weeks for q/t isn't enough. Mind as well not even do it. We keep our q/t snakes in a different room for at LEAST 4 months.
But, congratulations on the lock !! Hope you get some awesome choco pastels!

    At least you tried.

OP, congrats! Those are gonna be some exciting babies. But he's right, ^^ your QT, to be even somewhat effective, should be a few months at least. I'm one to talk, though, I've been known to do similar things in the past. All the best to you and your breeding projects! ^_^

No problem, I'm always open to advice. I have never had any problems with my quarantine process but it's always better to be safe than sorry thanks ya'll, I'm interested to see what some chocolate pewters might look like
