    Length Vs Age Vs Other

So I know 1500g is that magic number that most people strive for. I have heard people say its more on a snake by snake basis though so this female has me intrigued. I got her about 4 months ago (she was extremely underweight at this time 48" long and only 680g) She has been at about 1600g for the last 2 months (yes she gained 600+g in two months its amazing what happens when someone feeds her more than one mouse per week...). She looks skinny at that weight but seems to refuse to put on any more weight (the bigger the meal the longer she fasts before the next meal). If she is still at that weight come Oct. next year would you be willing to breed her?

Not if she still looks skinny. Do you have any idea how old she is? After the first 2-3 years, body condition is what I go by WAY more that the actual weight number.

I was told she was a bit over 3 when I got her (bought her with 2 other females who are both over 2200g now) She eats and eats and eats but does not seem to put on any weight. Do you have any idea how to pack some more weight on her to try and get her ready for next year.

Just keep feeding her one small rat per week (50-80g). Larger rats will be a waste of nutrients and, as you already said, can push her off feed. She'll gain at her own pace now that she is being fed properly.
