Guess I just need some validation over here...
Some of you may have seen this girl when I first bought her, but she just shed so I thought I would make sure you all see what I see in her.
Yes, that is a stubby tail, apparently from an incubation error. No, I don't know if it's safe to breed her or even if I should or if I'm going to. According to the guy I bought her from (not her breeder) her sire was a leopard and her dam a normal, which makes her het pied. Colors are fairly accurate in the photos.

If you want to see more pictures of her tail, just say.
I'm seeing het pied for sure, and the markings go all the way up her belly. Is there anything more there?
Black Pewter het Hypo Vestris; Black Pastel Enchi Zamira; Black Pastel Cheryn; Hypo Enchi Sofia; Lesser Pastel Eren; Super Mojave ???; Piebald Mako; Fire Vin; Pastel Estelle; Spider Hanji, Ezri; Normal Angelina, John, Aradia; Mojave Joe; Anerythreustic Kenyan Sand Boa ???; German Shepherd Dog Atticus; Rats Snowman, Colette, Calliope, Eliza, ???, ???

If you're basing your opinion only off of the "train tracks" then my normal must be het pied too:

Hi,
Leopard is a visually identifiable het pied.
Leopard x normal gives leopards and normals. Your girl looks to be a perfectly normal normal to me. Sorry.
Those are normal belly markings not the het pied "train tracks" - which aren't reliable anyway.
How much did you pay for her? And who from?

I'm saying that I see het pied not that she necessarily is. Also, I might not ever try to prove her out due to her tail. And how do you know your normal isn't het pied?

$20. She's actually my dad's. I'm not upset about if she is just a normal, because she is pretty. I think the guy was from Twisted Genetics (Twisted Exotics?) but I've lost the card in the month and a half since I got her. I don't care either way. She'll be staying with me or my dad no matter what.

Not certain about all the nuances of Het. Pied markers, I know most people are all over the place with them right now, but I can pretty confidently say nothing about this snake rings "Leopard". Also, I don't think saying that Leopards produce het. Pieds is particularly accurate either? Leopards are allelic to Pieds but this don't make them a true het., it just means they're compatible and can also be used to produce Pied animals (allegedly). I mean, Lessers/Butters and Mojaves are allelic but no one ever says that a Mojave is also Het. Lesser. :/

no, but i've heard people say mojave is "het BEL" which would be the same case as calling the leopard het pied. 2 leopard genes make a pied, thats why some call it a het pied. but 2 mojave genes dont make a lesser. they make a BEL.

Well, I guess in that case it makes sense but I still feel as if it's still misleading for a lot of people because when it's phrased in those terms, I think people get under the impression that the Het. Pied part is this extra thing to the Leopard gene and not a part of the morph itself. Like, like a lot of folks talk about Leopards in terms of it also being 50%/100% het. Pied. I think just saying it's allelic is more straight forward terminology.

The guy I got her from told me she was "66% het pied" but it's possible he didn't know what he meant, or I misunderstood. I thought he said her mom was a normal, but I guess I can't trust my memory. If I do ever breed her I guess it'll be to a pied boy. If she turns out pieds I guess I'll know
