Spotnose?

This little guy is Plissken. I bought him as a Normal. I'm new to ball pythons, so I still have trouble identifying the subtle morphs, but his high-contrast pattern, head stamp and nose-spot made me wonder...








He's got a pretty busy belly, too.




I tried to get a picture of the side of his face, but he was being uncooperative. He has a little "mustache" up front and spots along the sides. His colors are very bright and he has virtually no blushing.

What do you think? Is Plissken a bona fide Spotnose or just a pretty Normal with a spot on his nose? Thanks in advance for your input!

Not seeing any Spotnose, but I like his head spots just the same! Here's my Spotty female for comparison:

I would also say he is a normal, but a good looking one at that. His yellows aren't quite rich enough, nor does he have the dorsal spots/stripes you see on Daybreaker's female. Congrats on the new pet none the less

I took a better picture of his belly to show the speckling. @SlitherinSisters, I'll try to get a picture of his nose later--he has the same 'stache!




Thank you all for the informative replies! Almost looks like he tried to be a Spotnose, but didn't quite make the cut. Normals are neat with all their variation.

I may try breeding him a year or two down the road to see if that headstamp is hereditary, but for now I'll continue to enjoy him for what he is. Thanks again for the help!

I wish I had another Normal to put him next to, because he is quite distinct. That's why I picked him--he was much brighter and more colorful than his cagemates, who looked more like the "typical" Normals I've seen.

I also say normal but he's got a classic *jungle* look. It's just a pattern trait (not a morph) that is often inheritable. I like him
