    Local Calico Pastel - Opinions?

I found this little Calico Pastel girl (<150g) online and she is within a few minutes drive from here. I'm hoping some experienced eyes could give some of your opinions of her before I drive out to take a look myself. I have a pretty good grasp of what I am looking for in a Calico, but I haven't looked too much into what adding Pastel in should look like. Thanks!

    Local Calico Pastel - Opinions?

I think the general rule is that the darker the yellows are, the more they will brown out as they get older. She looks pretty light to me, and has lovely blushing on her back!

She doesn't look much like the pastel calicos on WOBP.

I like the pastel part, but I prefer higher white on my calicos. With that said, a low white snake can throw high white babies.

I would be a little weary. I hatch Pastels all the time that have the lighter pink and white colored spots near the belly. That pic looks to be of a young Pastel. Also, I have hatched quite a few Pastel Calicos, and the colors don't seen right on that animal. I have tons of bright orange and more pinks in the animals I produce. Without seeing the animal in person, and only looking at that photo, I would say that is a very nice Pastel.

Honestly, it makes me feel better that you've said this. It's what my gut was telling me, but my head was fighting with because I don't have a lot of hands-on knowledge yet. What traits should I be looking for if I do get the chance to see her in person? On another note, I've already got Pastel in my small collection (with plans for the Super form in a future male), so it's the Calico trait that I have my eyes on.

Its all in what you personally like. I prefer high white with a light yellow. I like solid alien heads as opposed to the ones with donut holes and I don't mind if the heads run together a little bit. Just me though

Yeah the calico is not jumping out at me. I would hold off and wait on a really nice pastel calico. You will know it when you see it

I have a citrus pastel calico who is just stunning. The citrus line of pastel, in my opinion, makes a big difference when it mixes with the calico.

    he really colored up nicely.

    He's sexy! I like him!

To the OP, every pastel calico I've seen looks a lot like the one linked above. I think the one you've been looking at is just a really nice pastel.
