"Hets" and breeders
I really love albino snakes. I would eventually like to start working on breeding projects using the albino gene. I have bred beardies(never got into the morphs though, just had a male and female, gave the babies to friends who wanted one) twice, just now getting into snakes. Now being that I am incredibly new to the game so to speak, and am curious about a few things.
I have thought about getting a spider or pinstripe het albino to breed with my albino girl in the future. What kind of proof do breeders typically provide (if asked) to verify the het or is it a case where you trust the breeder?
Are there traits/morphs that will not work with albino? I know I have personally seen albino pins, spiders, and pieds.

"Hets" and breeders
Most breeders will provide paperwork with hets, but that paperwork can easily be faked so always buy hets from a reputable breeder.

Re: "Hets" and breeders
it can all be faked. so you need a breeder with a good reputation, someone that is honest. Fortunately almost all breeders are honest and do have a good reputation.
What you want to see is pictures of the parents.
its true that some genes dont work well with albino, basically all the codominant genes that brighten up the snake dont work well. like lesser albino or pastel albino, contrast goes down and the yellows get weaker. But pattern morphs like spider or pinstripe work well with albino. Darkening genes like black pastel or cinnamon work well with albino, they can increase the contrast by making the yellow stronger.

huh?
Some lesser albino's are hot
I think most of the darker morphs work better thanbrighter morphs when combining with albino, but lesser albinos don't work?

IMO, if you are buying for your own purposes, you don't need any proof or paperwork. You just need to trust the breeder. Paperwork comes in handy if/when you want to sell the animal later on.
As far as albino projects, you should research them and see what you like. Some people really love a high contrast albino on a normal pattern. Others think things like an albino pinstripe are more interesting. I personally love the delicate colors that only barely show the pattern of a snow, while others think snows are a ridiculous waste of time & effort when it is so much easier and more pure white to make a BEL.

As others said its all about trust. You might want to ask for pictures of the parents breeding, and you can do a quick search to make sure the breeder didn't pull it off the internet somewhere. Also, if you search for the breeder, a lot of times you can find good/bad reviews about them. Its hard to trust someone that much, so if you want your mind at ease, buy from a more well known, reputable breeder. If for some reason it turns out to not bed a het, hopefully you make a male het out of the first clutch, then you're only one year behind .
As far as what to mix with albino, I think pattern mutations tend to be the better route. Color mutations wont change how the albino looks quite as much as a pattern mutation, since the albino trait already takes away every pigment except yellow. I personally like albino pieds , but my second choice would be albino pinstripe (just in case I want to mix it with pied some day).
