BP vs CRB
Which snake is "easier" to care for?
I'm considering adventuring with Columbian Red tails...... but I'd have to make room for them by either selling or trading my BP's... I really don't want to though, because I love my young pastel boy.... but, I am curious about the differences of the two species.
Pro's/Con's of both? In comparison?

Both are easy to care for IMO, the Colombians will just require a lot more room.
Pros: BCIs are great eaters and not easily stressed like some balls. They come in lots of morphs too. More active than balls so they can be good display snakes.
Cons (wouldn't consider it a "con" but it could be I suppose): males will need at least a 4' cage and I recommend 6' for females. Adults will require larger feeders than adult balls which may result in more money but you are fine to feed adults every ~2-3 weeks. Babies/subadults are still good to start in tubs. If you don't have experience handling larger snakes I'd see if you can handle an adult to make sure they're in your comfort level.
And some tid bits: Colombians are spelled with a "u" and Colombians are not "true red tails" so I don't call my Colombians, Hog, and Argentines "red tails".

Daybreaker hit the nail on the head and gave some excellent advice.
But I think she meant to say, "Colombians are NOT spelled with a "u"..." And because we don't usually refer to them as "red tails", because they are not true Red Tailed Boas, we don't use the acronym CRB. Colombians are referred to as BCI (boa constrictor imperator). I have Colombians, Argentines, and Sonorans and they are all BCI - not red tails. Just trying to be helpful - no offense intended. But we can't learn if we aren't told!

Oh... I've never been too great with spelling
Good to know about the referance to BCI's instead of CRB, (didn't know about the acronym either lol)
Space isn't really an issue, if I got rid of my BP's....
but I really don't see that happening anytime soon.... I'd buy a tank before I got rid of my Pastel boy, or I'd put my boy into a 20 gallon til he out-grows it (he's still small, 24 inches long) and put the Boa into the 30 he's currently in.
But, maybe I'd rehome my normal female. She doesn't get the attention she deserves currently... and I'm sure somebody would be thrilled to have her.
I don't like selling or rehoming snakes though, especially through Craigslist...... I can't stand the self-proclaimed Craigslist police who flag everything they are personally against.

No worries Holly! As I said, we can't learn if we aren't told. And we've all made those same mistakes!
If you are interested in rehoming your normal BP, place an ad here. Better than craigslist....
Any other questions, just ask!

Thanks! And good to know!
Oh, before I forget to ask, is there a morph list for BCI's?
