I went to look in the hides and he is gone. I am freaking out and need some help. I have read all of icemans posts trying to get some ideas. I have searched and searched. It happened yesterday morning. I feel horrible. Please pray and give me some more help. I have checked all my heat sources, drawers, and couches. My older son has been crying and I am about there. I am just about to tear my house apart (tonight) please help!!

Do you have a loose substrate? Perhaps he burrowed under and is hiding?
If not, check the immediate area of the tank within 10feet I think people say? Though I dunno if that still applies almost 48 hours later.

It's happened to me also.
* First, they usually don't go far. Hopefully that's the case with yours.
* Second, they can fit in places you never dreamed of so look in places that you are 'sure' they couldn't go.
* Third, start making some good hides for it. Take a small box, put it on a heat pad or somewhere warm against a wall on the floor. Do this with as many as you can. If you make the hides well, they'll eventually find one and like it enough to stay. Of course, keep the lights off & keep traffic in the area to a minimum.
* Fourth, you can also try dragging a F/T mouse around the corners of the room up to one of the hides & leave it in. That worked for me.
Good luck

Basicly they could be anywhere where they can fit their head through. First look around the immediate area. They will right away try and find a place to hide. At night put some baby power along the edges of all the walls and across all the door ways and hall ways. Then when the snake crawls across the power you can tell what way he was going and where he went to.
Thanks,
Damien

Bp not a begginer snake?
I'm bumming pretty bad. Would anyone want to steal just a BP? We gave notion to the possibility that someone could have broke in and took it, but think thats its more likely he just got out.

Its very important to find out how he got out, so he dosen't get out again.

My wife and I have no idea??? We have thought of just about everything. He was really secure in his home. I only hope I have the chance to use super glue with him next. JK! When is the longest someone has found their BP alive and well?
