Sunsets
sorry to keep making threads but I searched the net and cant find much about the morphs I like. world of bps only has pic and what makes them. I was wondering are these out there to buy. well without an arm and a leg. I have seen in it the reptiles article bhb wrote and that is it. again i feel bad for wasting post but i have no other way of planning on snakes to get. I am trying to keep my snake under 500.00 per snake atm.

I can tell you right now, you will probably not find a Sunset for 500. A nice big Cinny maybe, but as I understand Sumsets are still a rather new project and not in widespread circulation yet. It has been proven recessive, so with the right combos you could produce one down the line?

Re: Sunsets
Yeah...You're not going to get a Sunset for $500. This is a brand new morph and BHB has kept it pretty close. Last I heard HETS were selling for 50k a pop. Granted, that's a year or two old so I'm not sure what the going rate is this year. I doubt you'll find any for sale.

Those 4-5 gene combos are really one in a million. They're also the most unique and high in demand, so anyone who's actually managed to produce one is either holding it back to make new generations or selling it for the top of top dollar.

You got it wrong. Sunset is a single gene that is recessive. Just one gene, and its a new one and it looks awesome.
And nowadays 4-5 gene combos are not that hard to make anymore. Its more about how to combine them to make awesome looking snakes. Many of the most awesome and best looking combos only contain 2 genes, or 3 genes.
On Topic, i doubt the sunset will fall to 500 dollars for a visual within the next 15 years. Its high-end stuff and prices will come down slowly. BPs reproduce slowly.

Thanks for the correction! After I posted that I had some doubt in my own knowledge of the gene pool and wanted to add a disclaimer to my post, but it was after the ten-minute mark haha. Mobile browsing makes research much harder than it needs to be.
