    Kay's color variation

I love the difference in color that Kay displays over time. Seeing some of these pics side by side, it's hard to believe it's the same snake.

This is Kay near her darkest, taken February, 2012. This has happened a handful of other times in the past

And this is Kay near her brightest, taken April, 2013 (tried to get similar lighting, including clothing for better comparison).

Anyways, I just thought this color cycling was cool.

Very cool! My normal male does that. He gets almost all black the week before a shed.

She did go into shed not too long after that Feb. 2012 picture, and she got even darker than that, nearly black. But I didn't think it counted if she was deep in shed since they dull then anyways.

I think that April 2013 picture is probably a glow, because that was just a week or so before she went into ovulation and she was actually starting to fade just a little by the time I got her out for a pic.
