    Half log hide solution

so you know they always say "don't use a half log hide it doesn't provide enough security... blah blah blah..."? well I found a solution (if nobody else has)
this is especially good when you already have one and don't want to but a new one, and you want to add a half log to your naturalistic but don't want to risk the snakes well being.
    1. where you are going to put the hide, clear out about a 1/2 to a 3/4 inch of substrate (sub. from now on)
    2. place the hide about an inch from the wall if its going in the corner. having one opening face up against the wall.
    3. stuff some extra sub. against the side of wall in between the hide and the glass, to make something like a wall so less light comes in.
    4. push hide into the wall to keep sub. in place.
    5. add some more sub. in the hide at the bottom to make the hide "smaller" with a lower ceiling.
    6. Done!

    library password if needed: ballpython

    hope this helps!
