You guys remember Bob right? ^^
If you don't, he is my ball python that I got approximately 36 days ago.
If some remember... my set-up was pretty basic and I didn't have a lot of space.
But I have since gotten a good-sized container that fits both of his hides, the water bowl and the heat source perfectly.
He likes it in there. The only problems I have are regulating the heat sometimes, but that is manageable.
Anywho, Bob had been rather jumpy and grouchy as of late. So I figured that it was around time for him to shed.
My suspicions were confirmed when his eyes started getting cloudy and he refused to eat (though he seemed like he wanted to)
So.. I let him be and kept the humidity up so he could do his thing when the time came.
Just ten minutes ago, I smelled something kinda weird in my room.. so I decide to go check on Bob.
I lift the hide up and there it is -- his old skin! (I didn't know it had a smell to it, but apparently it does)
He is much more active now, his eyes are cleared up and he isn't grouchy. Plus he's super soft compared to before.
Aha, I know the shed is a regular occurrence for most snake owners, but it was his first one so I am super happy.
...I probably should go feed him now though. I'm sure he's super hungry!
