To be honest, the one in the middle looks to just be a lighter toned Siamese. Hard to say though. I just recently started up my rattery. My main man is named "Ike." He's a siamese dumbo. I love working with them. I just brought home a beautiful blue dumbo girl last night. Gotta go get her pics and add them to my site! You can see "Ike" at my site www.cypresscreekrattery.weebly.com if you like. He looks very similar to your male.

I think the light one is throwing me off. Could it be a Himalayan? Dad and mom are both het PEW now that I think of it.
The darker ones are darker than my usual Siamese. I have been working to get darker points and self, so I wonder if my work is being paid off in this obvious way. The babies are not self unfortunately.
More pictures from today in outdoor lighting.

How do rat lovers react when they find out you breed to feed your snakes as well?
I am breeding for pet quality and would like to hear how rat people react.

^^ Well.....I have observed that...."most" pet rat folks are VERY anti feeding rats to snakes. SO.....if I were asked directly, I shall not lie, BUT I don't go out of my way to share the fact that I keep snakes, AND breed feeders as well. I'm sure it'd start a war with some folks, LOL
I started just breeding for feeders, and then I realized that I enjoyed these guys, and I happened to start producing what I now know are Himalayans and Siamese, and I just thought they were pretty, so I put some up for sale, and sold em quick! I started researching, and befriended the girl who bought the pair from me, and she has been mentoring me, as she has a rattery of some awesome rats, and I've gone all the way. Gonna register with the NARR and everything. I think I want to focus on various Siamese points, and any and all of the blue varieties. The girl I befriended, she is fully aware that I breed feeders, and she was perfectly okay with that. So it all depends. But yeah, I wouldn't just share that info right away lol. My pet rattery is completely seperate from my feeder colony anyhow.

By the way, I'll bet they're all 3 Siamese, it's just that the two are even better specimens! I just experienced that myself. I'm three generations in on my Siamese, and I have two very young BEAUTIFULLY colored dumbo siamese girls that I am holding back due to their amazing color at such a young age! Their sister is much lighter than they are....just like your trio pretty much. Selective breeding pays off!

Re: Siamese, and what else?
I think all are Siamese. The middle *could* be a himi.

Looks like you have some NICE DARK seal-point Siamese! Jealous!
The lighter one in the middle looks like a dilute Siamese to me, either blue or Russian blue. I'm leaning toward RB.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Oh my gosh they are so cute! No clue what they are though. I wish I could find rats like that in my area! I found one breeder, but she won't even approve an adoption to a friend of mine who only keeps rats as pets

Fingers crossed it's a Russian Blue Siamese! I will keep updating with pictures for them. That dumbo in the pictures is a female and will be a holdback.

Thanks Stephanie! I am really working towards breeding large, healthy, friendly, and conformationally correct or ideal rats that will be at the level of pet breeders.
Maybe we will get stationed in the Great Lakes and you could come pick some out!
