I need an opinion on tub size.
My ball python is about 170 g, and is housed in a 32 quart tub. Is this too big of a tub? There are 2 hide boxes, one on the cold side and one on the warm side. She never refuses a meal, even in a big enclosure. I have a 12 quart tub, should I move her to that one or leave her in the 32 quart, since she's eating good? The only problem I've had with her in this tub is that she rarely moves from her warm hide (88-91 degrees). It might be because it's hard to keep the cool side temperatures up (cool side between 71-75. I know it is low, but unless I keep my room like 100 degrees, i can't get it to raise anymore. suggestions?), or it may be that she doesn't want to roam her enclosure. I'm not for sure, but the only thing about the 12 quart tub is that i won't be able to fit 2 hide boxes in there, and I know they don't need 2, but I think she should be able to hide on either side. Any suggestions that you guys have would be helpful, and if you have any more questions, I will answer you.
-Thanks
BTW: the heat mat I'm using is 6"x8".
