    What other Snakes?

What other snakes can live in the same environment as ball pythons. I'm not having them co habitate so don't think that. I have a rather large rack and if other species can live with 88-92 hot spot 40-60 humidity I'd love to know may keep one or two

Awesome I may try that, is 41qt enough for a carpet though I feel like that's small. Ibe heard dumerils and sand boas do well as well

Dumerils, Hog Island, or small BCI (MALES - females of either species would get too large) would do alright in a 41 qt tub. The BCI may need something bigger as an adult though. But the husbandry of any of these guys is about the same as a BP.

Tarahumara mountain boas can do well in 41 qt tubs, but generally like slightly cooler temps.

Blood pythons or rainbow boas are options. Bloods may be too large and BRBs need higher humidity, but smaller bloods might do fine and you can up the humidity enough for a BRB by putting damp sphagum moss in the tub.

I keep young boas in the same rack with my balls. They move to their 4x2x2 ft enclosures when they outgrow the 41 qt tubs.

BUT!!!! Try Angolan pythons!! They are only slightly bigger than balls and are AMAZING snakes to work with! Same care requirements as balls and they do great in racks! 41 qt is all they'll ever need.......

Careful with a BRB. Everything I have ever read says a hotspot of 85 at the highest. Mine spends most his time on the cool end.

I just moved my carpets to cages. My biggest girl is about 6 foot and the 41qt was getting kinda cramped, but it was fine up until now.

They truly are! Probably the neatest pythons I've ever worked with! Mine are just babies at the moment, but they are so much fun! They have BIG personalities too, a lot like a boa - very stable, curious, and outgoing and love to be handled. They don't stress out like Balls do and have voracious appetites.

If you're really interested in them, though, you do need to be careful where you buy. I highly recommend Chad Duggin, Casey Lasik, and Justin Julander of Australian Addictions. They have the best stock here in the US and are great to work with. I got mine from Chad Duggin and I'm extremely pleased with them.

I've heard this as well. One site went so far as to say anything above 85° can be fatal. Would love to hear clarification on this.

I want Angolan pythons tooooo...dangit! There's too many amazing species i want to work with lol
