Bedding suggestions for people with allergies

I'm planning to put one of my snakes in a 40 gallon tank this summer for display. He's very active and doesn't get stressed with the room. Certainly not a shy snake at all and don't for see there being any issues. I kept him in a 30 gallon tank as a baby with no issues.

To the point, I'm highly allergic to all types of wood, dirt and other natural materials. Could I use care-fresh bedding that is used for rodents? It's made out of some fiber in not totally sure. I just know I'm not allergic to it!

I want to make a nice display tank so I'd like it to look somewhat natural... I'm not allergic to moss so I can put that in the tank to help with humidity.

Does anyone have any ideas what I could use?

I wouldn't recommend Care-Fresh given the humidity requirements for ball pythons. There is too much risk of bacterial growth with that fluffy paper. Since most wood shaving types are out I would go with some green reptile carpet. Simple and clean. Just make sure you get 2 or 3 pieces so you can change them out when the snake soils them.

    Here's my little 20gal long.

Bedding suggestions for people with allergies

    Are you allergic to aspen?

I'm allergic to most wood shavings but I haven't had issues with aspen yet.

I just switched to newspaper because of allergy issues with the substrate I was usuing before. I'm having a bit of trouble keeping the humidity up (I have an infrared heat lamp on one side of the cage since my room is rather cool). Right now I keep a wet towel over part of the lid to help out. Is that alright, or does that encourage bacteria growth? Do you guys have any other suggestions?
