    Can i have 1.2 Rats in a 10g

    So im getting 1.2 rats this weeks (they are medium sized) and i would like to know if i can put them all together until they grow and get pregnat when they do i will change the male to another enclosure

    That's very cramped. I'd say no. I had 2 medium rats and I would have felt very bad about them being in a 10 gallon let alone adding a male in. No way would I keep them that way.

    10g is too small for a 1.2.
    It maybe be just big enough for one pregnant female to use as a maternity cage. But just barely.

    Something like a 50-65qt tub size would work well for 1.2.

    I used to use these before I got a rodent rack. It fit 3 rats just fine.

    Yeah a 10 gallon won't work.

    My hamster is in a 10 gallon. I couldn't imagine shoving 2 more in there.

    Personally I think aquariums in general are not very good for rats. I think they tend to be too deep for decent air exchange.
