BP first shed! Help!
This is the first time my BP has shed since I got her about a month ago. I came home to her with bits of big and small shed all over the place, and now a couple hours later she looks nasty, and still alot of pieces of shed on her. Is she still shedding? or should I try the soaking method now?

What are your temps and humidity? She may need a soak, but I'd try increasing her humidity in her habitat first, see if r can rub it off herself. You want it around 70% once she goes into blue. I'm on my phone so limited accessibility, but I'm sure someone else can direct you to a Caresheet.

Never had this problem, but id imagine bump up humidity first. For future reference keep your humidity levels in check at all times, and when you see shed process (blue stage) coming on bump humidity up to at least 70-80% and you'll have perfect sheds every time.

Until you get your rack system and perfect it, the best thing to do for a screen lid is cover half of it ( the half opposite your overhead heat source, if any ) with a damp towel, or a piece of cling wrap if you're not able to constantly monitor the dampness of the towel. Works like a charm for my 40-gal

I know how you feel I started with a 20 long but now use rack which stays stable on its own with the right size water dish. But in the meantime with my 20 long I started using a damp rag over half of the top, as long as I kept the rag damp with che over the other end of the enclosure it balanced very well. Much more work though you will really appreciate that rack system.

Shes not done until its all gone and look for those eye caps. Do whatever you can to get that humidity up to about 80% and she should be able to rub it off herself.
