How to tell if you have a spark?

I just purchased a male spark from John Michael reptiles and he doesn't quite look like other sparks I've seen. I paid a good amount of money for him so I was wondering if there are any tall tell signs that you have a spark? I'm at work right now so I can't put a picture up, but I will when I get home!

Please post top, lateral, belly and head pics. I'd be happy to help.
