    Havre de Grace? 4/13

I haven't been to the Havre de Grace show in at least 2 years. Considering going this Saturday and I'm hoping someone who has been more recently than I can give me an idea what it is typically like lately.

Meh. Its not that great a show. Kinda sucky, actually IMO. I guess it depends on what you're lookin for. I live about 35 mins from it. If you're traveling all the way from Virginia, Id seriously wait a few weeks for the Hamburg, PA show. Soooo much better

    Thanks for the replies!

I'm not looking for anything super fancy. I'd be happier with a decent selection of low end to medium morphs rather than a bunch of high end cutting edge stuff, because I can't afford that. Altho I love to dream & drool as much as the next person.

Is the new Timonium show approximately equal to what MARS used to be?

The Havre de grace show has some good stuff. Depends what you are looking for. Some (not everyone) say the selection is low but dont buy high end snakes anyway so go figure The one reason I like it in particular is that its not as jam packed as some other shows and several vendors from other shows do this one and you get time to talk to them. In addition to the fact if you frequent a vendor you will find the same selection with a little less hassle.

I was up there last month, we usually make it there at least 2 times a year or so. I think they have a pretty decent selection of Balls, corns, RTBs (mostly BCI's) and carpets; there's one guy whom we buy rats from occasionally that has some nice Burms and Retics. All of the breeders that I've stopped to chat with are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The last time we went was to restock on rats and we ended up talking for almost an hour to a Beardie breeder which cemented our resolve to buy one from him at the show in May.

It's not the biggest or most well-known, but for the casual to semi-casual hobbyist it's not bad at all.
