shed problems...
i'm just going to jump right to the point i have a young royal and he's had 4 now 5 sheds all together and 2 of them he's needed help with the actual shed now its been 1 week since he started shedding is that a bit long for a young royal to be going into shed for and his eyes went cloudy on the 29th march if that's any help to you all it's just round about 3-4 inches down from his head and a small piece of shed on his head (where the 1st stuck shed was) sorry if this is a little like a story it's just been bugging me that's all thanks for reading.

Humidity and stress could be reasons for poor shed. Does your BP have a water bowl to soak in? Or Moss?

If he has shed stuck on his head make sure up take it off before the next shed... If you're not sure how take it to someone who can, I saw one thread his corn snake had 3-4 sheds stuck on its tail and they had to take it to get the tail chopped off.

It happens to me every so often. And I have to take either a warm wet cotton ball, or a warm wet wash cloth depending on where the shed skin is. What I find that works the best is keep on monitoring him when you know he's getting ready to shed. And right when his eyes turn back to normal, give him a nice warm soak in the bath tub.

Using paper towel as substrate and misting it really helps em. My ball who usually has bad sheds had a perfect full one when I put her in like a travel box/tub with this for a couple hours. Makes sure there are air holes if you are using a box alternative to the normal cage lol.

Have you tried using a humid hide at all? That might be a good solution for you in the future.
For now, I would give him a good long soak. Maybe even a few hours to really loosen things up. Then it should be easy to roll the skin off. The snake probably won't like it, so try to be quick.
One layer of stuck shed doesn't concern me too much, but when the next shed also goes bad, its time to take some action.

While this would work, I would not recommend using paper towel's unless you are going to follow Nutty's advice and not going to feed on them. I have had to pry a paper towel out of a snake's mouth after a feeding because he attacked the paper towel and was trying to eat it. Was not fun. Be careful if you decide to go this route.
