    Sand Boa Escaped

Well as the title says I had my Kenyan Sand Boa get out of his tank sometime between saturday night and sunday night. I cleaned his tank on saturday afternoon and noticed that when I put him back into his tank he was roaming around and trying to climb up which I found very unusual being he is always burrowed in his aspen. I was in a rush and rushed out of the house and I forgot to put something ontop of his tank to add some weight. Well when I got back home on sunday I checked the tank right away and realized he was not in there. I started to do a search but had no luck at all last night. I set up a heat lamp in the room hoping I would find him there this morning. I have classes all day today and wont be home until 4 and I will do another search tonight. I plan to leave out a F/T mouse tonight in hopes he will come to that. He is scheduled to eat on Wednesday so hopefully that works. I was thinking of using the flour trick but the room and a majority of the house is carpet and not to sure how i feel about throwing flour all over the carpet. I would really appreciate any help you guys would be able to give me. Everything i learned about snakes i have learned off this site. Just hope someone has a pointer to help me find this guy. Thank in advance.

    Sand Boa Escaped

    They love to escape!

I had 2 babies get out before. Try to follow a path they would take. Look in corners, if they hit a wall they will follow it down. As you know they love to burrow. Look under anything tight. Look around any heat source.

    Good luck.

Searched th whole house again yesterday no sign of him anywhere. Checked the refrigerator under the oven, under the washer/dryer. Can't find him anywhere. I have floor board heaters in my house and I have a feeling he's hiding somewhere in one of those. I will continue to leave heat lamps out with some mice and hope he comes out soon. Only thing is I will be away this weekend for 3 days so I am really hoping I can find him before Friday.
