A new BCI addition...

Just wanted to introduce our new 2012 Colombian BCI courtesy of Sonja K Reptiles in MN. Even after the trip, he was a super mellow boy and we couldn't be any happier. Breeder bent over backwards to ensure he was going to be a good fit to our ever expanding collection and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

Sorry for the bad iPhone pics, I'll break out the DSLR and my macro lens this weekend after he has had a few days to settle in and has eaten something.

Being Colombian, we shall call him: Escobar

Very cool! I'm excited for you. I'll be joining you in about 3 1/2 weeks with a male BCI as well. I like your pictures and it looks like he is all settled in. Keep the pics coming along with updates.

Yes, first boa. I researched long and hard and found this group from Sonja K Reptiles to be the cleanest Salmon boas I could find. She is very selective in her pairings and it shows. Worth every penny and on top of it, even after a double flight he was just puppy-dog tame and is settling in so well. He's a little smaller than most born in June of last year at 140 grams, but she also grows them nice and slow and her adults are all muscle and always extremely healthy. Has to be the best buying experience I have had in all my years as she answered every one of my questions, let me know which ones had better temperaments since I do have smaller children who I want to have a positive experience, gave up all records I asked for, and just bent over backwards to make sure everything was a good fit for all involved (she is a little over protective of her babies...which I like).

I am very happy to have him in my collection and glad to be able to provide for such a beautiful example of what the species is.
