i've heard the russos (het russo x het russo) are some of the cleanest. of course, if you're wanting a BEL to use as a "Super" for for breeding to make pretty babies, the russos aren't the best.. but if you're main goal is to produce clean white snakes, i vote for the russos. ours are some of the cleanest i've seen.

I don't know what they cost, but a Super Russo is called a "White Diamond" and they are gorgeous.

Especially if you are getting it for future breeding purposes.

    Re: Cleanest BEL?

i think there are many choices.

lesser/butter + mystic or phantom makes these karmas, but lesser/butter + het russo or mocha also work.

yes the het russo gene makes really clean high white BPs. BTW, when did WOBP start calling the het russo gene "Lemon Het Leucistic"?

I have a 0.1 Butter and a 0.1 Mojave.... I am only using one for BEL's this fall. I will probably use the 0.1 Butter for BEL's.

Not sure how I'm going to pair them this fall as I have a 1.0 Lesser that is a stud and a 1.0 Mojave.

This says why the lemon was removed but maybe added because veteran bp owners/old timers like it that way?
