    BP changed color

I woke up this morning and something strange happend. My BP has different color than yesterday. I looked inside its hide and found out that it recently shed its skin. How to get old color back?

Can I add something to his water?

There will generally be a difference in colors depending on where they are in the shed cycle. Also, 99% of BPs just change color over time.

There is not a dietary secret that I know of for helping/changing color.

Vitamins are not needed. Just make sure you are feeding quality rodents.

You are not serious, right? If so, I think you could make nice colors with left over Easter egg dye. Haha! The Easter bunny morph.

How did you not know it was about to shed?

Sometimes they "brown out" or change color somehow as they age. I wouldn't worry about it too much if his behavior is otherwise normal. Just make sure you're keeping proper husbandry. Also, a pic from before his color change would help.

    Re: BP changed color

i guess you are onto the big secret.

Thats why its called a paintjob, breeders paint them, it only lasts a few shed cycles until it has to be renewed.
