Is occasional stargazing normal?
I just woke up to my BP with her head up against the glass pointed upwards. I've been noticing she does this sometimes, not frequently, but i've noticed it's happened quite a few times. Is this normal?

Sometimes they do this, If it's more often than not it might be a respiratory issue.

Hm. What animals has he been in contact with? I thought stargazing was combined with weird swaying and flailing behavior, how does he act if you touch him while his head is up?

If his head is against the glass, did he also scrunch himself into a corner? It may be where he just landed for lack of room. Stargazing is more like deliberately sticking the head straight up on their own. Is there anything else he does that may be a concern? Any nose rubbing, bubbles, squeaks or clicks?

I think it should be noted that with mine & his, the snake is up against the side of the tank.
Pretty sure they're just trying to find a way out through the top.

Is occasional stargazing normal?
My Dumeril's boa sleeps with her head up against the glass, pointing straight up. Don't know why, but it's usually after she eats so I think the other poster is right in saying sometimes they just "land" that way! Ill see if I can get a pic next time

Maybe they know how to mime and they're doing their "I'm in a box" routine...hard to tell in the absence of arms & legs.
