    my new ball python :D

hey guys new to the forum new to snakes just thought id share my new guy with yall his name is baby choker and he is super cool. bought him from a breeder and he seems to be doing great. im not new to reptiles i got a couple geckos and also i got an emperor scorpion so im kinda used to basic reptile care. ill post pics of his cage setup when i get the chance. breeder said something about him being het for a genetic stripe so kool i guess. dont know much about snake genetics but i do know he loves hoppers and thats all that really matters. also he just shed his skin last nite
so the yellow stripe he has on his back is super bright in contrast to his black. hope yall like him

Ditch those stick on thermometers and get a Accurite thermometer from Walmart for $12. They will tell you the humidity, temp on cool side and the probe will tell you the temp on the hotside where the heat pad is. Also is you switch from aspen to cypress mulch you will hold much more humidity in a glass tank.

koo i got the tank for free with the two temps and hygrometer in the middle. my geckos have the exo terra digitals and i was thinkin to switching to that but if walmart got 12 dollar ones ill check em out. also i did some research and found cypress was better after i bought the aspen. next time i clean his cage ill get cypress. thx for the info

No problem. I used to use those stick ons when I first started keeping snakes and they used to be way off. A probe thermometer like Exo-Terra is nice but just way more pricey and only measures temperature in one spot. You can get 3 in 1 with the Accurite!
