    My beardie needs anger management?

    Okay so here's the deal.....
Zeus (My male) was a sweetheart when he was younger.....
Nothing has change for the past couple months. Same temps, same diet, same cage, everything.

For whatever reason though, the past couple weeks, he has been extremely temperamental. Runs when you try to hold him and opens his mouth (as if he's gonna try to bite you) when you try to pick him up.

    Any suggestions?

I don't know much about aggressiveness in bearded dragons but maybe something to do with stress

What you are seeing is probably typical mating behavior. During the breeding season, beardies can show what looks like aggressive behavior towards their cagemates and owners. Bearded dragon breeding behavior goes together with head bobbing movements, opening of the mouth and darkening to a black to gun metal black colour on the beard and on the body.

Not sure how old yours is but mine did this to me right before she went into brumation. After a 7 month "nap" she woke up refreshed and is much more pleasant and personable.
