    Heat tape placement

My girlfriend and I are almost finished building our first snake rack, it will hold four 32 qt. tubs.

Aluminum foil tape will go on the melamine and 6" heat tape on top of that... and I wanted to put aluminum foil tape directly on the tubs to protect them and help absorb heat.

Has anyone tried this? or should I not bother and just place the tubs directly on the heat tape?

Tubs directly on heat tape. Just make sure you have thermostat regulating the heat tape.
