    Lay Watch

So I am gone to work for 10+ hours a day. Seeing as I can't sit at home and wait for my girls to lay, I purchased myself a nice little wifi security cam and have it mounted on a tripod pointing into the tub. It has infrared which is great because it stays sort of dim in my snake room. If anyone cares to watch with me:

This girl will be on day 26 tomorrow (3-26). She's a normal female bred to a mojave male. She's been looking super super uncomfortable for about 2 days now, so me thinks it'll be anytime.

Didn't know if anyone would be interested or not...but figured since I have the feed, might as well share!

    Hey that's pretty neat!!

I'm not sure if it's frozen on me though, or if she is just holding very still

I often wondered how to set something like this up, if I ever decide to, I will give you a shout! Good luck with your eggies!

This is really neat! I planned to do something similar with my egg boxes...but I just might put up a "lay cam" as well!

I can see a future trend for breeders with the means for such luxuries.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you all enjoy it. I plan to move it over to the incubator once we've reached that stage to watch for pips.

The camera was < $100 and it works off my home wifi network. I did have to do some messing with the firewall through my ISP to get it to work, but once I figured out what the heck I was doing it wasn't too difficult. It has like 300 degrees pan/tilt and not a bad picture. The infrared is really nice, like I said, for the dim lighting. The camera is meant to be a security camera I think, so all you really need to do is plug it into a wall.

Unfortunately, really my only complaint is that once my room gets to the sort of dim and sort of light stage, the picture quality goes way down. Oh well...better than nothing!!
