Do you ever simply just miss your snake?

Let's just say you're out for the day, or away for the weekend, sometimes don't you just miss your snake? Whether you have just 1 or more than 1, I think we can all agree that we love our snakes and care for them enough to miss them!

    I do miss them.

I miss my Boo the most though. He passed away in my arms on February 25th. I think my howl of pain woke the whole house up. I couldn't put his body in a box for awhile. I just sat there crying, holding him. It's strange how these creatures can wiggle their way into our hearts so easily.

I got him cremated and wear a bit of his ashes around my neck. I've never taken him off yet

Heck, even when she's at the height of her handbleness and has past shed and digested, I don't feel like taking her out.
It's when she's in shed, or just ate, I feel like looking at her the most.

Sorry Bobba. That must've been hard.

Re: Do you ever simply just miss your snake?

Do I ever...I was on Spring Break a couple weeks ago and I asked my upstairs neighbor to check on her every so often to make sure she was doing alright and hadn't escaped from her enclosure. The whole week I thought about the little girl every day and wondered how she was doing. Even while being in the sunny, beautiful weather in Florida, I couldn't wait to get back home so I could be with her. I'm such a sap... but I can't help it.

No not really. They certainly don't miss me. I'd be bummed if I had to give them up bc they're my critters, but ball pythons don't even compare to a dog imo. My dog is capable of missing me, therefore i'd miss her back. Snakes, no, not really lol. I think about them during the day a lot, but not because i miss them.

I constantly miss my snakes! They are just as important to me as my cat and pet rats are. I check on them all at least once a day. Of course I have a certain few that I baby more than others, but I'm only human

When I'm at work reading threads and seeing all your sexy snakes, I can't wait to get home and check temps, check waters, and pull a few out to say hi!

Same here! When I'm at work or the library, all I want to do is run home and make sure they are all comfortable

I miss them. They all ate last night and I wish I could take out Tiffany or Minnie right now and just hang out for a few minutes!! :'(
