Question Did I accidentally hurt my ball python?

I was trying to hold her to pry her mouth open to check for mucus in her mouth (with q-tip), but instead of holding the jaw line, i applied pressure to the balls on each side of her head instead a couple times... did i hurt her?? she kept trying to resist, but i guess that's natural. but she looked a bit scared, and in a ball afterwards.. and no, she didn't let me see inside her mouth

There should be no reason to look into their mouth if you're looking after just one bp you should be fine and she should be ok next time just wait to see if you can catch her yawning or something.

well i was worried she had RI. some people here had told me to look into her mouth to see if she has mucus. but like i said, i applied some pressure to her head (2 ball parts) to hold her in place, just worried i might of hurt her

More than likely she is fine. Keep an eye on her and make sure she isn't holding her jaw oddly.

That is the way people generally restrain their heads for oral exams, so unless you applied way too much force (like, a malicious amount), she's probably fine.

I've had to do that with one of my baby ball python to help assist feed when he wouldn't eat. Att first I thought the same thing I was afraid to hurt him. But he was fine, I'm sure your snake is as well just keep an eye on him.

Pretty sure that is just muscle on the head, so squeezing it a bit should not hurt the snake.
