    Salt Bath??

I was on a media site looking at ball python pictures and one person posted a snake in a sink with the caption "My baby's first salt bath with me" (paraphrased). Is this healthy? Why would it be done? I've heard of sugar baths but not salt baths.

I suppose if the snake had a cut or wound, a salt bath could help.
    But otherwise, it's not necessary.

There is no reason in the world to give your ball python a "salt bath." Now, I have bathed snakes in balanced electrolyte solutions that contain sodium and other salts for various reasons, but those are carefully formulated for veterinary use.

This sounds like a recipe for a face-eating disaster!
Adversity does not build character, it reveals it
