Hello, I'm new to reptile keeping and I am concitering buying a Ball Python. I've done my research and feel ready to take the responsibiliy. But I need a list of breeders in Minnesota. Anyboady know any?

I dont know of any breeders in Minnesota but at www.alexhuereptiles.com is a great place he offers captive bred Ball Pythons at as little as $13 for males and $18 for females plus shipping. I have heard lots of great things about this guy. And he also has some that you can hand pick via pictures.

As far as enclosures go, it depends on what your priorities are. Rubbermaids and Sterlites are the least expensive way to go, and their ability to hold temperatures and humidity are outstanding. Aquariums are more expensive and require more work in the way of temps and humidity, but you can create some really great looking displays with them. There's a great step by step instruction for rubbermaid housing in the "Do It Yourself" section of this website.

Yeah, definitely check out your options and weigh the pros and cons of each. There are a lot of choices to make: type of enclosure, type of substrate, how to heat , how to feed, etc., etc., etc. And of course, we'll all be happy to help you out.
