    Which fore a beginner?

Which T would you recommend for a beginner?
I think spiders and tarantulas are amazing. I'm not scared to hold one, except if they are so small that they might run around and get lost or hurt.
I'm looking for a reasonably chill tarantula I could hold that wouldn't panic and run fast.
    What would you recommend?
    2.3 normal ball pythons
.1 ultramel motley het caramel corn snake
    1. butter motley het caramel+stripe corn snake
    1. fiance I had to rehome my kitty, and my dog got cancer and we put her down. RIP.(Did I forget anything??)

Chilean rose hairs are a great beginner T. They are generally very docile.

Curly hairs and Mexican flame knee are also great choices.

Lol, can you de-venomize or take the fangs of a tarantula?

i would LOVE to own one but im terribly afraid of getting bit. i can't imagine even a docile spider by nature to not bite his owner in all of his lifespan. even though it most likely has been done tons of times. im sure you get my point. im scared of that bite! Lol

If you took the fangs off a T it would die. That's how they eat.
I would suggest a mexican red knee, B. smithi. They make great first Ts, pretty and fairly docile, and a bite is nothing worse then a bee sting.
Don't handle and you won't have to worry about getting bit. They are not a "touch me" pet. It dangerous for the T, they die very easily if they fall, and it's stressful for them. There is always a risk of them dyeing from a fall, no matter how big they are. I've had Ts for years and I've never been bitten. Use common sense and it will be fine. Just make sure it's not an aggressive spider species (stay away from pokies, baboons, ect). Rosies and red knees are both great beginner Ts.

Definitely a No-Touch Pet, some people do and that's their choice as long as the T stays happy and healthy. Pinky Toes are also a good choice I have heard, but I love my Rose!

You can keep them as display only pet. Terrestrial ones like the Mexicans are nice.
I'm planning on a Mexican red-knee and a Fire Leg after my irs refund. Good choices

Get one that is slow speed. Non aggressive, and non defensive.

I do have a PZB sling which I like a lot.

Greenbottle Blues are quite lovely and striking.

Be aware that Ts are much like snakes and Pokemon. You gotta have them all.

And frankly since you are herp fan, you have all the necessary tools (subtrate, tongs, tanks lights, etc.)
    1.1 Ball Pythons (Python regius)
1.0 Brazilian Rainbow Boa (Epicrates cenchria cenchria)

I'd get a Lasiodora parahybana if I were you. These things are supposed to get huge, they grow like weeds and eat like horses, and mine's pretty docile. They also like to stay out in the open. It's kinda like having a Goliath birdeater except the Lp is a lot cheaper and lower-maintenance.
