Well yesterday was a tub cleaning day. It just so happened to also be a feeding day. The tubs took a little longer to clean than I was planning so it was getting pretty late when I got around to feeding time. I always feed my f/t first then move on to the ones who are only taking freshly prekilled and live. Everyone ate except for one picky female who has a habit of refusing everything for the past few months (live,f/t,p/k - mouse rat even asfs). Tired as can be I went to bed. Woke up this morning and realized a few small (really sorta big) things I forgot. First thing I notice is that the lid is off one of the mouse breeder cages. I am standing in the middle of the room thinking about how to round up these mice when I notice my problem feeding female stretched out underneath my drum set (right beside all the shelves with my mouse/ rat cages). She is one of the girls that is in a tub that is not in a rack at the moment. Apparently I must have latched one side of the lid tights and not the other. She had just shed the day before and I weight them when they shed, so I knew what her weight was pre-escape. I am not sure how many mice she ate last night but she ate enough to put on close to 210 grams of weight (the part of this that worries me is that she is only about 525g empty) Will that big of a meal hurt her(assuming she does not regurge today)?
