A few photos of my new rats

I'm working up a colony of rats to breed, since my source of f/t is becoming extremely unreliable. Most of these rats are too young and will need to grow up a bit, but I wanted to share.

So far just simple blacks and beige in a few different markings. Yesterday I picked up a few mink and what I believe is a cinnamon, but haven't taken photos of them yet.

Very interesting markings on this girl:

I was thinking that when I posted the photo, but nope. In person she's got two ruby eyes.

    Aw! How cute!
Glad to hear you're breeding rats again. Your knowledge with these little guys are vast.

I'll admit I feel a little rusty... it's been over 2 years since my last litter! But it's like getting back on a bike.

    More pictures!!!

Not sure what was going on here, but I thought it was a funny picture. The black sure came out glossy, and a good contrast to the one in back. The one in back is either one really crappy black, or she's "charcoal" (unstandardized color, basically a bad black due to carried recessives).

The charcoal with what I believe is cinnamon (dumbo).

Solid agouti! See! No white! I love the gray bellies on agouti.

    PEW, agouti, and cinnamon dumbo.

    Charcoal.

    PEW.

    Agouit and cinnamon.

These are the little boys. One is mink, the other I believe is pearl. Waiting for the adult coats to come in so I can tell for sure.

    Suspected pearl.

Beige girl with the mink boy.

    Mink.
