    Things are happening!

Hey guys, it's been a while!

So zorro is about to pop! She's deep in blue right now for her pre-lay shed and I'm so excited!

My second female, stinky, is still locking but she just recently went off feed so I'm hoping she will go this year too.

Both pairings are normal x pastave and both girls were about 2000g when I started pairing so I'm crossing my fingers for some sweet females to hold back =P

Not the best pictures... I snapped them before I cleaned her tub the yesterday.

Hope you get lots of eggs! If you have a female that stops eating altogether well before the ovy, does she still have a pre-lay shed? Just curious if they still shed without eating/growing at all?

Pretty sure they do still shed. This is my first year though so don't quote me lol! Maybe it has to do with hormones or something.

I was trying out palpating and didn't see/feel the kind of ovi that people post pics of on here. She never really got huge until she stopped locking about a month ago and now you can tell that she's stuffed.

Maybe you will be in for a surprise! Mine was glowing like crazy a while ago before she went off feed and just recently started to go back to her normal coloration.

This is what I saw when I was looking up about glowing. Maybe she's just too faint to tell.

Good luck with your girls and hope they both go for you! My gravid import female laid the other day, so right there with you on the nerves/excitement/HOLY CRAP! factor to the first-time experience with hatching out babies. Good luck with things!
